POV is proud to partner with outstanding community and grassroots organizations across the U.S. through the Our America: Documentaries in Dialogue initiative. The following groups have spearheaded an exchange of knowledge and resources in order to impact their local communities.
Prison Cells to PhDs seeks to reach, touch, and change the lives of people with criminal convictions through advocacy, mentoring, and policy change.
The Moth's Pop Up Porch traveled to Tulsa, Dallas, Jackson, New Orleans, Birmingham, and Atlanta to foster new connections and strengthen relationships with communities throughout the American South.
This organization aims to serve nonfiction filmmakers and the communities of the Coastal Empire and the Low Country in Georgia and South Carolina. This Fall, they've hosted community screenings and filmmaking workshops with local youth.
